See the Benefits of Using a Wisy Rainwater Filter

Self-Cleaning without Spray Nozzle– The Wisy Vortex Filters uses water’s natural characteristic of adhesion to separate the water and particulates down to 280 microns. The filters are self-cleaning due to the vertical design of the design.  This allows the water and debris to gravitationally flow through the filter and to their designated locations, thus eliminating the need to clean or empty the filter with regularity.

Low Maintenance – the filter mesh should be cleaned 2-3 times per year, depending upon debris accumulation of the roof.

Adjustable Connections – The Wisy Vortex Filter’s top half rotates allowing the filter to work in various locations and applications.

Optional Extension – An extension tube can be attached to each Wisy Vortex Filter and is recommended for below ground installations to bring the access opening to grade.  An extension tube can also be used if the filter is installed indoors to ensure water does not exit the top during high volumes of water.

Vertical Filtration – Vertical filtration is how the Wisy Vortex Filters self-clean

Blind Insert Available – Blind inserts are used during winter months or to by-pass the storage tank for maintenance and troubleshooting.

Above or Below Ground – Each Wisy Vortex Filter can be installed above or below grade.

First Flush – the Wisy Vortex Filters qualify as first flush devices due to the filter mesh being dry during the first flow of rainwater through the filter.  Once the filter mesh is coated with water, water’s natural surface tension characteristic allows the water to be filtered before being diverted to the storage tank.

Small Vehicle Load Rating – Each Wisy Vortex Filter has a Small Vehicle Load rating

60-Ton Load Rating – the Wisy WFF300 comes with an optional 60-ton capacity steel lid for applications that require such.

Wall Bracket Available – A wall and tank mounting bracket is available for the WFF100-150.  A made-to-order steel bracket is available upon request for the WFF300.

Different Mesh Sizes - The Wisy WFF100-150 Vortex Filters have two mesh sizes, 280 and 440 Microns. The WFF300 comes with a 380-micron mesh.

Lifting Handle Insert – Each Wisy Vortex Filter comes with a lifting handle for easy removal of the filter insert.  If an extension tube is used, a lifting handle extension can be provided.

Spray Nozzle Available – The Wisy Vortex Filters with spray nozzle can be used for industrial and manufacturing water reuse applications when production cannot be halted for maintenance.

Rainwater or Graywater Use – The Wisy Vortex Filters can be used to pre-filter rainwater or graywater before entering storage tanks.  A spray nozzle is recommended when used for graywater pre-filtration.
