The Garden Rainwater Collector connects to a single vertical rainwater downspout and can filter precipitation from a roof area up to a 850 – 1,000 square feet for irrigation, car washing or other non-potable uses. ​RMS Downspout Filter Adapter

The RMS Downspout Filter Adapter is used to convert the conventional rectangle downspouts used in most American construction to a round downspout. Since the WISY downspout is round, this adapter makes converting your downspout a simple process. The RMS adapter is made of lightweight PVC and can be painted to match your home.




Clip and Screw

The WISY Clip and Screw is designed to connect the WISY Downspout Filters to the downspouts on your home. The clip and screw are made of stainless steel which will not rust and will last as long as does your home or business. The WISY Clip and Screw will ensure that the downspout filter is mounted plumb and level which is essential for maximum efficiency of the WISY Downspout Rainwater Harvesting Filter.



Hose and Tension Ring

The WISY Downspout Filter is designed to separate particulate from the rainwater and sends the harvested (clean) rainwater to the rainwater storage tank. To ensure maximum efficiency, the hose and tension ring form a simple connection from the downspout filter to the storage tank. Intermediate Ring and Extension Tube

The WISY WFF300 Vortex Filter has a custom made extension tube designed to bring the lid to grade. To install this extension tube, an additional stainless steel ring, Intermediate Ring, is necessary to attach the filter housing to the extension tube. This ring will also allow for the lid to be secured to the top of the extension as required by the manufacturer. Note: The maximum burial depth of the WFF300 is 48 inches. Any deeper installations require the filter to be placed in a vault based on the manufacturer’s installation instructions. Vortex Filter Mounting Bracket

The WISY Vortex Filters are designed to be installed belowground or aboveground. If the WISY WFF100 or WFF150 Vortex filter is mounted aboveground, the WISY Stainless Steel Mounting Bracket is necessary to install these Vortex. The wall bracket is made of stainless steel and will not rust or tarnish. The WISY Vortex Filter installed using the WISY Wall Bracket will ensure maximum efficiency and sustainability of the RMS Filtration System.

WISY Vortex Filter Extension 

Vortex Filter Extension.The WISY Vortex Filter is designed to be installed belowground or aboveground. If the WISY Vortex Filter is installed below ground, the WISY extension tube is necessary to bring the filter lid to grade. The extension tube for the WISY WFF100 and WFF150 are 24” in length. The maximum extension for the WFF100 and WFF150 filter is 3 extensions or six feet. Any deeper installations require the filter to be placed in a vault based on the manufacturer’s installation instructions.

The WISY WFF300 Vortex Filter also has an extension tube to bring the lid to grade. An additional stainless steel ring, the Intermediate Ring, is necessary to attach the filter housing to the extension tube. The maximum burial depth of the WFF300 is 48 inches. Any deeper installations require the filter to be placed in a vault based on the manufacturer’s installation instructions.




WISY Sieve Basket 

The WISY Sieve Basket will allow you to collect 100 percent of the rainwater passing through the WFF100 and WFF150 Vortex Filter. The dirty water and first flush water that are normally rinsed through the filter can be filtered, stored and used for irrigation by simply inserting a sieve basket in the filter. The sieve basket does require periodic cleaning and is not recommended for all applications. WISY Blind Insert 

The WISY Blind insert is available for the WFF100 and WFF150 Model filters to restrict water from flowing to your storage tank. The WISY Blind Insert is made from stainless steel and will last the life of the filter. The WISY Blind Insert is essential for aboveground applications where no water is to be collected during the winter months. Lifting Handle

When the WISY Vortex Filter is used in a belowground application, the Stainless Steel Filter should be inspected and or removed at least annually. The lifting handle may be necessary to reach the filter if extensions are used. Lifting handles come in various lengths to make inspection and removal of the filter simple. Contact RMS to determine the lifting handle that meets your rainwater harvesting system needs. 



Flex Couplings

The dimensional flexibility of Fernco couplings ensures leak-proof seals on virtually any pipe material: plastic, cast iron, asbestos cement, clay, concrete, steel, copper and ductile iron. All couplings are clearly marked with part number, size, and pipe materials that the coupling will connect. With the various applications for rainwater harvesting, RMS uses these flexible Frenco couplings to make difficult pipe connections. EB 0300 WISY 4-inch Smoothing Inlet

Made of stainless steel. Smooths entering water out and up to prevent tank stirring, which disrupts the beneficial biofilm in the tank.

The smoothing inlet is an all-stainless-steel device that fits on the 4″ inlet pipe in the storage tank. It is used to prevent the agitation of sediment at the rainwater inlet into the storage tank. The smoothing inlet also helps aerate the water as it enters the tank.

This controller regulates the rainwater collection system, monitors and controls the system and provides data on the performance of the system. The RMS Series 200 Controller displays all the information on an intuitive 10” color touch screen display. Check Valves/Backflow Preventers

A check valve, clack valve, non-return valve or one-way valve is a mechanical device, a valve, which normally allows fluid (liquid or gas) to flow through it in only one direction. Check valves are two-port valves, meaning they have two openings in the body: one for fluid to enter and the other for fluid to leave. There are various types of check valves used in a wide variety of applications. Check valves are often part of common household items. Although they are available in a wide range of sizes and costs, check valves generally are very small, simple, and/or inexpensive. Check valves work automatically and most are not controlled by a person or any external control; accordingly, most do not have any valve handle or stem. The bodies (external shells) of most check valves are made of plastic or metal.

Double Check Valve Assemblies are installed at cross-connections to prevent the backflow of rainwater into the potable water supply. The assembly consists of two positive seating check modules with captured springs and rubber seat discs. The check module seats and seat discs are replaceable. Service of all internal components can be accomplished through a single access cover secured with stainless steel bolts. The Double Check Valve Assembly is constructed using lead-free materials. Always check with local authorities having jurisdiction regarding vertical orientation, frequency of testing or other installation requirements.

For many years submersible pumps were difficult to use in rainwater harvesting applications. RMS spent many years designing, perfecting, and engineering a custom-made, approved cooling jacket designed specifically to adapt a typical well pump for a rainwater harvesting application. RMS can place any size well pump in the approved RMS Cooling Jacket to meet your rainwater harvesting system needs. The RMS Cooling Jacket is the only one of its kind that adapts a well pump to accept the WISY Floating Filter and provide the highest quality of water available in a rainwater harvesting system.

Custom Pumps and Pump Skids

RMS has the expertise and technical support available to help determine the pump size and type to meet your rainwater harvesting needs. RMS has a large selection of submersible rainwater harvesting pumps. All RMS submersible pumps are adapted to accept the WISY floating filters. RMS is the only company that has an approved, engineered, cooling jacket to be used with well pumps to provide high flow of water from your rainwater storage tank. The RMS cooling jacket, base plate and nozzles are approved by pump manufacturers and carry the manufacturer’s warranty.

RMS offers a large selection of simplex and duplex Suction/Booster pumps to meet your rainwater harvesting needs. RMS Booster Pumps are designed to connect to the WISY floating filter as part of the RMS rainwater harvesting system providing the highest quality water available. All Booster pumps are designed to meet or exceed your minimum pumping requirements. RMS will determine the appropriate Variable Frequency Drive to control the pump to ensure the life expectancy of the pump.

RMS recently introduced enclosed, unitized pump stations that are skid-mounted and built by a single manufacturer. All equipment --  including, but not limited, to pumps, motors, piping, filters, valves, instrumentation and controls -- is mounted on a common structural steel base to form a complete operating pumping station. The base of the enclosure is mounted on a concrete pad supplied by others, of sufficient size and strength to support the pump system. All RMS pump station bases are designed and fabricated to provide proper structural support for all attached equipment. The base supplies sufficient rigidity to withstand the stresses of reasonable and competent transportation to site, off loading, installation, and operation. RMS Pump station bases are manufactured of #12 carbon steel.

All RMS Rainwater Harvesting Systems offer a pressure tank sized to prolong the life expectancy of the pump in your rainwater harvesting system. Since most RMS Rainwater Harvesting Systems are sized using a Variable Frequency Drive, cumbersome pressure tanks are minimized to meet the demand requirements of the Variable Frequency Drive. The RMS Tank Tee Package comes equipped with a direct connection for the conventional pressure tank system. The RMS Tank Tee Package also has a pressure switch, pressure relief valve, gauge, and boiler drain to complete the system. The pressure switch is designed to start and stop rainwater pumps based on minimum and maximum pressure settings on the pressure switch.

Normally Open Pump Float Switch

Every step in the RMS Rainwater Harvesting System is thoroughly thought out to make your rainwater harvesting system a high quality system with minimal maintenance. Rainwater pumps are designed not to pump when there is no water in a storage tank and will actually burn up if there is not some type of protection for the pump.

The RMS Normally Open Float Switch is provided with all RMS Rainwater Harvesting Systems and installed in the rainwater storage tank. The switch is wired directly through the pump to provide maximum protection for your rainwater harvesting pump. The float switch is preset on installation to disconnect power from your pump before the rainwater tank completely empties. After the next rain event, the float activates and the pump automatically starts when there is a demand.

RPZ Backflow

RPZ (Reverse Pressure Zone) water backflow valves/preventers are used to prevent contamination by harvested rainwater flowing back into the fresh water supply. For example, an irrigation system has the potential to allow contaminated water from the lawn to flow back into the pipes that deliver drinking water. RMS uses RPZ backflow valves/preventers to connect domestic backup water and rainwater. When installing a rainwater harvesting system it is necessary for you to check with your locality to determine what type of backflow valves/preventers are required.




RMS AIR GAP 

When using domestic water as a back up for rainwater, localities require a mechanism to ensure the rainwater does not flow into the domestic water system. Normally, this can be accomplished by using a double backflow preventer; however, some localities require an actual air separation between the two water sources. The RMS Stainless Steel Air Gap is installed on the domestic backup to create this separation. The RMS Air Gap comes in different sizes to meet your domestic line size. RMS Normally Closed Solenoid Valve

The RMS Normally Closed Solenoid Valve is an electromechanical device that allows an electrical device to control the flow of liquid. The electrical device is activated by a Normally Closed Float Switch in the rainwater harvesting tank and causes a current to flow through a coil located on the solenoid valve. This current flow in turn results in a magnetic field that causes the displacement of a metal actuator. The actuator is mechanically linked to a mechanical valve inside the solenoid valve. The RMS Normally Closed Solenoid Valve then changes state, or closes, to allow a liquid to flow through the solenoid valve. A spring is used to return the actuator and valve back to their resting state when the current flow is removed. Pressure Reducing Valve

RMS uses Pressure Reducing Valves in the RMS Rainwater Harvesting System to make the change between rainwater and domestic water automatic without the need for floats or a power source. RMS Normally Closed Float Switch

The normally closed float switch controls a normally closed solenoid valve for second source water feed. The float switch is to be fixed on the inlet pipe of the submersible pump. The float switch comes with switch level and float housing made of polyethylene with flexible cable. (Switch level is defined as the exact switch point where the water level rises to desired level).

D110 Wireless Level Sensor

The wireless sensor gives remote tank level readings by pressing a button on a desktop unit. This wireless sensor has an operating range of 984 to 1600 feet with a maximum detection depth of 10 feet. The sensor and bench unit operate on four “AA” batteries. The sensor can be mounted within minutes and can be installed on a slope with its adjustable transponder. It is suitable for tanks/cisterns made from plastic, tin, wood, concrete, and any other materials.

PURKIT Purification Skid

The RMS purification skid/kit treats rainwater to drinking water standards and is suitable for all indoor water needs. The purification kit includes all the necessary filters, housings, and housing wrenches. The kit requires the user to make all the necessary connections. The purification skid comes pre-assembled on a polyethylene mount and can be equipped with an optional jet pump, pressure tank and/or water meter.

The kit consists of two filter housings and a UV light that are installed in-line from the rainwater tank to the indoor water line.The UV light system does not inject any chemicals into the water. Pressure gauges (not provided) and valves (not provided) should be installed prior to the 1-micron filter housing and after the carbon filter. Pressure gauges monitor flow to determine when filters require replacing. Valves are used to isolate filters for maintenance. Plug the UV light into a grounded outlet. String Wound Sediment Filter

RMS String Wound Sediment Water Filters are used to eliminate fine particulates from rainwater. Since sediment is measured in microns, the RMS String Wound Water Filters are available in various micron sizes ranging from 1 micron to hundreds of microns. UV Light

RMS UV Purification Systems use ultraviolet germicidal light to purify and disinfect rainwater through a unique and rapid method, without the use of heat or chemicals.

The germicidal ultraviolet lights produce shortwave radiation lethal to bacteria, viruses and other microorganisms. Throughout the years ultraviolet technology has become well established as a method of choice for its effectiveness, economy, safety, speed, ease of use, and because the process is free of by-products. UV Replacement Light

UV replacement lights for the RMS UV Purification System are available through RMS and can be shipped directly to you. The size of your UV Purification System determines the size and number of replacement lights necessary to operate your UV Purification System. The RMS UV Purification System is designed to kill bacteria and other microorganisms for approximately 9,000 continuous hours. To ensure continuous water treatment, RMS recommends that you replace the UV lamp annually with the appropriate RMS UV replacement lights. RMS MODULAR SYSTEM

The RMS 1060 Modular Rainwater Harvesting System has been developed by Rainwater Management Solutions to provide a simple solution to harvesting rainwater. The RMS 1060 kit includes everything you need to connect the system to the downspouts of your building.
