Rainwater Management Solutions has released a proprietary
software program to design siphonic roof drainage systems.
Currently available to a limited group of engineers, the
software will be publicly available in the very near future.
The initial release of the software has been well received.
The windows-based program is capable of designing a siphonic
roof drainage system based on an user expandable library of
elements, featuring Jay R. Smith components designed for
siphonic systems.
A Windows GUI interface shows the design from drain(s) to
discharge(s). Each element can be selected so that detailed
information of how the component affects the overall system
can be evaluated. A full system evaluation is available with a
few simple clicks.
A detailed report of the system can be easily produced as a
hard-copy. Summaries of the system, drains and discharges are
presented along with details of each individual
drain-to-discharge path. A report is formal so it may be
delivered to a client. It includes an area for an Engineering
Seal of a Professional Engineer. Reports can be generically
branded with custom information such as company logos and
addresses.
