SALEM, VA (August 5, 2005)— Oxygen-rich water is essential
to the ecological balance of a pond or lake, and to the
survival of fish and other pond life. Rainwater Management
Solutions’ Floating Aerator Fountain (FAF) provides an
economical and attractive way to aerate and help control algae
growth. Aeration increases the microbial activity, speeding
the decay of organic matter such as leaves. The constant
mixing and rippling of the water surface diffuses the sunlight
and makes it more difficult for algae to spread. Aeration
improves color, taste and odor in pond or lake water, making
the water more suitable for domestic use.
The Floating Aerator Fountain is designed for use in ponds,
lakes or any other contained body of water with a minimum
depth of 30”. The FAF series, (FAF-2000, FAF-5000 &
FAF-S-50), consist of a self-contained submersible pump with
heavy-duty float and fountain nozzles. The three different
models produce an impressive fountain display ranging from 8
to 25 feet high.
These units provide effective, cost-efficient aeration and
algae control, not to mention visual effects, on ponds up to 1
acre in size. Underwater light kits are also available. All
components are manufactured from high quality fiberglass,
stainless steel, and PVC plastic.
The floats carry a 5 year warranty; and all pumps carry a 2
year warranty. All units include 90 ft. of water resistant
power cord, a 20 ft. anchor rope, and 2, 3, or 4 (depending on
model) interchangeable fountain nozzles.
Product Specifications are as follows:
FAF-2000 1/4 HP 40 GPM l20V 8-10 ft. Display
FAF-5000 1/2 HP 70 GPM l20V 10-15 ft. Display
FAF-S-50 1/2 HP 50 GPM 120/240V 15-25 ft. Display
The FAF-2000 comes fully assembled. The FAF-5000 and
FAF-S-50 require only minor hand assembly (no tools required).
Simply select and thread-on a fountain nozzle, float the unit
to the desired location in the pond, anchor into position with
the anchor rope supplied, and plug-in to the power supply. All
120 volt models include a three-prong electric plug. 240 volt
models require electrical connection to a remote switch or
breaker box. The FAF-2000 is designed to utilize model
L-2000-2 Two Light Kit. The FAF-5000 and FAF-S-50 utilize
model L-5000-4 Four Light Kit. These light kits come pre-wired
with 90 ft. of underwater power cord and require only a 120
volt AC power source. The lights themselves are low voltage.
The light kits include all necessary mounting hardware and
require only a screwdriver for installation. Each light
includes four interchangeable colored lenses.
Earlier this year, Rain Water System, Inc. of Virginia and
Rattenbury Engineering, LLC, of Massachusetts merged to form
Rainwater Management Solutions (RMS). John Rattenbury, a
principal of RMS, was the first United States engineer to
provide Siphonic Roof Drainage systems engineering design
services. Among his notable achievements are the designs of
Siphonic Roof Drainage Systems for the Boston Convention
Center and for numerous IKEA stores.
Rainwater Management Solutions brings a common sense, cost
effective and sustainable approach to addressing the
escalating issue of water conservation and stormwater runoff
through its rain water harvesting and storm water management
services and solutions The RMS expertise encompasses
industries directly impacted by water management issues,
including commercial, residential, institutional and
agricultural.
